The SDTTA Junior Program was designed to promote table tennis to all youth in San Diego County and to give them an opportunity to improve their understanding of this Olympic sport, hone their skills, & meet new friends. Most of all, the program lets kids realize that table tennis is a game of fun and full of challenges. Our elite juniors are trained independently by the Bengtssons.

Coaches are available most Saturdays at the Balboa Park Activity Center, near the San Diego Zoo. The general evaluation period for newcomers is from 11:00am to 12:00 noon on this day. They are ready to assist at varying levels and assure proper development of basic skills that are very essential in each athlete’s progress.

Currently, two of America’s top juniors are from the SDTTA and we believe that this is just the beginning. This youth program is supported by volunteers who donate their time and energy to our upcoming juniors to make this a success.
